Back from vacation we are....

Back from vacation and back to work :(
Actually we returned back from Florida several days ago due to wonderful "Fay"... That is... tropical storm Fay. She sure put a damper on our first family vacation. We arrived in St. Pete's Beach Last Saturday and had a great couple of days of sun and sand. Ethan loved the beach and pool so much. He was so happy jumping in the waves and floating around in his little raft in the pool, but our wonderful time was cut short due to Fay, Darn her! On Monday night, the hotel notified us that there was a mandatory evacuation of the hotel by 6am on Tuesday. We thought we may try and wait it out and stay with Mark's cousins in Tampa for a day or so, but then we realized that Fay was not going to give up. Even if she did not turn into a hurricane and hit the Tampa area, she was dumping a ton of rain on the whole state of Florida and we figured we would just be sitting in the hotel watching it rain. So, we decided to head home to Chicago and try and salvage what was left of our vacation. The next day we drove up to a small town in Wisconsin right on Lake Michigan. There was a beach, pool and small indoor water park and Ethan had a great time there too. Pretty sure he was not aware that we were on the lake and not the ocean :) So, after a couple of fun days in Wisconsin, we headed home to Chicago and prepared for going back to work. Well, I can definitely say that our vacation was anything but boring, typical for us! Will post pictures of our vacation in a couple days...
